My (Podcast) Roundtable Rants, Part Deux
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of doing yet another fun and sometimes cantankerous Media Bullseye Roundtable podcast with my good friend, Chip Griffin, CEO and founder of the Custom Scoop media empire.
Among the topical issues that we covered were:
- If social networks discourage people from expressing their own views in the the online environment vs. the offline environment, meaning do you avoid arguments on your social media properties?
- The insane, misleading and semi-deceptive claim that one can get certified as a social media professional for the low, low price of $99, putting one on the same level as those with higher educations; and
- The yet more inane suggestion that companies should explore abandoning the corporate web sites in favor of just a LinkedIn company profile page.
